In the Valley of Streams
Streams Foundation Canada is a volunteer-based non-profit organization working towards community building, wellness and support for marginalized community members. Empathy, equity and equality are the guiding values.
STREAMS
The Halq'eméylem word, Tcil'Qe'uk, meaning valley of many streams, inspires our name. Halq'eméylem is the language of the Stó:lō communities around Chilliwack and Sardis, where our vision is to promote a community based on diversity, equity and inclusion.
We look at the diversity in Chilliwack as a strength that promotes a valley where many streams of people join together as one community.
